Supplemental Terms of Use — Plans

Last updated: April 24, 2026

Welcome to the supplementary Terms and Conditions of Use (these “Terms”) for Plans. These Terms specifically govern your use of the Plans feature. They supplement the Terms and Conditions of Use for Bumble (the Bumble Terms), including our Community Guidelines, which continue to apply to your use of the Bumble app. By using the Plans feature, you agree to these Terms.

To the extent there is any conflict between these Terms and the Bumble Terms, these Terms take precedence in relation to your use of the Plans feature only, and the Bumble Terms take precedence in relation to any matter not addressed by these Terms. These Terms do not apply to your use of any other feature or any other matter that arises in relation to use of the Bumble app. Capitalised terms not defined in these Terms have the meanings given in the Bumble Terms and Conditions of Use.

1. What Plans Is

Plans is a feature that helps connect users to attend small-group, in-person events (such as drinks or dining experiences) with other users in their city.

Plans is currently available only in select locations. You may not be able to access or use Plans outside of supported areas.

2. Eligibility and Participation

To use Plans, you must be at least 18 years old and meet the eligibility requirements set out in the Bumble Terms. You are responsible for ensuring that you are legally permitted to participate in events and to enter any venues where they take place, including meeting any entry requirements set by the venue. Bumble does not independently verify your eligibility to attend specific venues or events.

Plans events may occur at public venues where food and alcohol are served. You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations, including those relating to alcohol consumption, and for your conduct in such environments. Bumble does not control or enforce venue rules or entry decisions.

Participation in Plans is voluntary and at your own discretion. You are responsible for determining whether you can and wish to attend a given event and for complying with any requirements associated with participation.

3. Nature of the Service

Plans is a feature that provides opportunities for users to connect with others through small-group events. Bumble helps facilitate introductions and coordinate participation, including grouping users into events and sharing event-related information.

Bumble’s role is limited to enabling these connections. Plans is not an event organizer, host, or venue operator. Bumble does not own, operate, or control the venues where events take place, and does not provide food, beverages, or other in-person services.

Events take place at independent third-party venues, which operate separately from Bumble. Bumble does not control venue operations, the conditions at those locations, or which participants attend.

While Plans is designed to support meaningful connections, Bumble does not control attendance, participant interactions, or outcomes.

4. Event Participation and Assumption of Risk

Plans is designed to help facilitate opportunities for connection with others in real-world settings. While Bumble enables introductions, it does not organize, host, operate, or supervise events or venues.

By participating in Plans, you acknowledge that you may meet and interact with individuals you do not know, and that these interactions take place in environments outside of Bumble’s control, including public venues where food and alcohol may be served. As with any in-person activity, there are inherent social, physical, and environmental risks.

You understand and accept that:

  • Bumble does not independently verify participants or conduct background checks;
  • The conduct and actions of other participants, before, during, or after events, are outside of Bumble’s control;
  • Conditions at venues, including safety, service, and alcohol-related practices, are managed by independent third parties and may vary;
  • Attendance, group composition, and the overall experience are not guaranteed and may change, including due to cancellations or no-shows.

Without limiting the Bumble Terms, you are solely responsible for your decisions, actions, and interactions with others, and for taking appropriate precautions when participating in Plans.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Bumble’s role is limited to facilitating connections, and Bumble is not responsible for events, venues, participants, or outcomes associated with Plans.

5. User Conduct in Connection with Events

Your use of Plans is subject to the Bumble Terms and Community Guidelines, which apply to your interactions with others both on and off the platform, including interactions arising from your participation in Plans.

When participating in Plans, you agree to behave respectfully, comply with all applicable laws, and follow any rules or policies set by the venue, which are enforced by the venue and not Bumble. This includes avoiding harassment, inappropriate conduct, and any behavior that is unsafe or unlawful, including conduct that may occur outside the Bumble platform.

These expectations apply to your conduct before, during, and after events, as well as to any interactions connected to Plans. You are responsible for your interactions with other users. Bumble does not monitor or supervise in-person interactions.

Bumble may take action, including restricting or removing access to Plans, if you violate these standards.

6. RSVPs, Payments, and Refunds

Some Plans events require payment to confirm your participation. When you RSVP to a paid event, you are purchasing access to the Plans experience for that event, not to any underlying venue, food, beverages, or third-party services, which are provided separately.

Payment processing and confirmation

Payments are processed by third-party providers (such as Apple Pay or the App Store). Bumble does not store your payment details and does not control, and is not responsible for, processing delays or errors caused by these providers.

Your spot at an event is only confirmed once payment is successfully completed. If a payment fails or is not completed, your RSVP is not confirmed and a place is not reserved.

Refunds and cancellations

You may cancel your RSVP for a full refund up to 24 hours before the event start time. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the event are non-refundable. Cancellations can be made through the Plans interface.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method, subject to the policies of the applicable payment provider. Partial refunds are not provided.

No guarantees

Your payment does not guarantee specific event conditions, attendance, group composition, the quality of the experience, or compatibility with other participants. Plans does not guarantee a minimum number of attendees or any particular event outcome.

Bumble does not generally provide rebookings, credits, or compensation for changes in attendance, event dynamics, or user experience.

7. Cancellations, Attendance, and No-Shows

You may cancel your RSVP in accordance with the refund policy described in the “RSVPs, Payments, and Refunds” section. Refund eligibility is determined solely by that section.

You are responsible for managing your attendance at scheduled events. If you cancel after the applicable cancellation window or do not attend an event, you will not be entitled to a refund. Partial attendance does not entitle you to a refund.

Attendance at Plans events may vary. The number of participants, group composition, and overall event dynamics are not guaranteed and may change, including due to cancellations or no-shows. Variations in attendance do not affect your payment or refund eligibility.

Event details, including timing or venue, may change. Events are intended to proceed even if attendance differs from expectations.

Bumble does not provide rebookings, alternative arrangements, or compensation based on attendance, group composition, or event experience.

Bumble may take action, including limiting access to Plans, in cases of misuse, such as repeated late cancellations or failure to attend events.

8. Invites and Referrals

Plans may allow you to invite others to join by providing their contact information. When you use this feature, Bumble may send a message to that person on your behalf using the details you provide.

This feature is intended for individual, user-initiated invitations. Invited individuals may receive an initial message inviting them to learn more or join Plans. Additional messages will only be sent if they choose to engage with Plans. Invited individuals are not considered Plans users unless they choose to participate.

You agree that you will:

  • Only invite people you know or have a reasonable basis to contact, and that you have permission to share their contact information for this purpose;
  • Provide accurate and current contact information; and
  • Use this feature responsibly and not for spam, harassment, or bulk outreach.

Bumble may use the contact information you provide to send the invitation and support the invite process.

9. Messaging and Communications (RCS)

Plans uses SMS and/or Rich Communication Services (RCS) to communicate with you about your participation in events and related activity.

What messages you may receive

You may receive:

  • Service and transactional messages, such as invitations, RSVPs, confirmations, reminders, group and location updates, check-in prompts, post-event follow-ups, and notifications about connections or matches; and
  • Optional or re-engagement messages, such as notifications about future Plans opportunities or activity.

Some messages are triggered by your actions (for example, RSVPing to an event), while others are based on event timing or your activity within Plans.

If you are invited to Plans by another user, you may receive a one-time message sent on that user’s behalf. Additional messages may be sent if you respond to the invitation, sign up for Plans, or otherwise engage with the service.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies based on your activity, participation in Plans, and event timing.

Customer care

For help, you can reply HELP to a message or contact us through the Bumble app or at bumble.com/help.

Opting out

You can opt out of receiving SMS/RCS messages at any time by replying STOP. Standard opt-out keywords (such as STOP, END, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE) may also be recognized. We will honor opt-out requests in accordance with applicable requirements. After opting out, you will no longer receive Plans-related messages unless you re-engage, which may limit your ability to use certain features of Plans.

Fees and delivery

Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Message delivery depends on your mobile provider’s network, carrier, and device capabilities.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

We use messaging-related data, such as your phone number and message delivery information, to send and manage Plans communications. Messaging providers process this information on our behalf to deliver messages.

We distinguish between messaging data and text messaging consent information. Messaging data includes the information needed to send and manage messages, such as phone numbers and delivery-related data. Text messaging consent information refers to records of consent or preferences relating to messaging. We do not share text messaging consent information with third parties. We also do not sell or share users’ phone numbers or personal information with third parties.

For more information about how we collect and use your information, please see the Bumble Privacy Policy.

10. Additional Disclaimers

Without limiting the Bumble Terms, including those relating to disclaimers, limitation of liability, and user responsibility, those provisions apply, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, to your use of Plans as part of the Bumble services, including in-person interactions, participation in events, and use of third-party venues.

As described in these Plans Terms, Bumble’s role is limited to facilitating connections, and all interactions and outcomes remain outside Bumble’s control. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Bumble is not responsible for events, venues, or outcomes associated with Plans.

These disclaimers apply in addition to, and do not replace, the protections set out in the Bumble Terms.

11. Relationship to Bumble Terms

All provisions of the Bumble Terms, including those relating to user conduct, safety, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution, apply to your use of Plans.

These Plans Terms provide additional terms specific to this feature and do not replace or override the Bumble Terms except as expressly stated.
